Dana’s New Manufacturing Plant Already Working Hard—at St. Paul’s Community Center

Dana Corporation volunteers serve lunch at St. Paul's

December 15, 2016

Though the building is still under construction, Dana Corporation’s new Toledo plant on Jeep Parkway is already working hard—by serving the homeless at St. Paul’s Community Center, that is. Dana sent a team of six (who will all work at the new plant, once it is completed) to serve lunch at St. Paul’s. Looking snazzy in their white plastic aprons, the Dana volunteers served 145 hot and nutritious meals to our residents and guests. The lunch program at St. Paul’s Community Center is a vital part of our mission to the community—not only does it offer a hearty healthy meal to those who may otherwise go without, it also provides opportunities for socialization and for an introduction to St. Paul’s other services to community members in need. Individuals who may not feel comfortable with the social services system can be introduced to St. Paul’s in the safe and no-pressure environment of a cafeteria-style lunch. Our meal program is made possible only through the generous donations (of money, food, and volunteers) of community partners like Dana Corporation. Thanks, Dana!
