Residential Support Specialist(s)

      

Full-Time: Mon – Fri – 2nd shift – 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM

Part-Time:  Mon - Fri – 1st shift – 10:00am – 3:00pm  

Part-Time:  Sat & Sun only – 2nd shift – 4:00pm – 12:00am 

Part-Time:  Sat & Sun only – 3rd shift – 12:00am – 8:00am  

 

St Paul’s Community Center is seeking a high energy, compassionate individual to serve as the Residential Support specialist for the shelter. 

Looking to hire Residential Support Specialist to provide support and supervision to residents living in the shelter setting to ensure that their daily living needs are met. 

Duties include: monitoring the shelter for safety, assisting shelter residents with their personal needs, questions or goals, ensuring that the facility’s policies are followed, and working within the team, and independently to complete all shift tasks and expectations. 

 

Minimum requirements: High School (GED) plus 1 year relevant experience. The candidate must have basic computer skills. associate degree in social services or related field desired. Must be willing and able to pass background and drug testing.

Representative Payee –

Full-time and Part-Time

A Representative Payee is needed to budget and monitor consumer resources in order to ensure accuracy and accountability and to prevent homelessness.

Duties include: managing consumer’s Social Security benefits by providing for the consumer’s food and shelter expenses and budgeting the remaining funds. To ensure all funds are properly issued and accounted for in accordance with the budget and SPCC Payee procedures. Ensure budgets are updated annually. Payee(s) maintain filing systems and organization skills are required. Payees are responsible for monitoring consumer accounts to ensure accuracy and accountability. Notify Social Security Administration of any changes in the consumer’s status upon notice and in a timely manner. Reconcile accounting programs with bank statements and file for yearly audit. Open savings accounts for consumers whose funds exceeds normal usage. Works with coworkers on the team to facilitate the payee program. Attend yearly ISP’s and other financial meetings as needed. Inform Social Security, Community Mental Health Centers and other agency staff on the payee policies and procedures. Participates in agency events. 

Position Requirements:  High School Diploma is required. An associate degree in social services, Accounting or related field is preferred. Related experience working with individuals with severe poverty, persistent mental illness and/or substance misuse is preferred. A positive attitude is a must. 

The successful candidate must have strong customer service and communication skills. Also, you must be moderately proficient with using and understanding computers. Must be able to use Microsoft Office and Quick Books and other Microsoft Office spreadsheet (i.e. Excel). Many transactions (90%) and tasks will involve electronic processing or calculations of numbers using multiple databases including bank database systems. Must be able to read and navigate other basic technology. A Driver’sLicense is required.

Residential Support Specialist - Lead


Full-Time-Lead: Mon - Fri – 2nd shift – 4:00pm – 12:00am

Purpose:  SPCC Toledo is seeking a high energy, compassionate individual to serve as the Residential Support specialist – Lead in the Shelter. 

Looking to hire Residential a Support Specialist- Lead to provide support and supervision to residents living in the shelter setting to ensure that their daily living needs are met. 

Duties include: monitoring the shelter for safety, assisting shelter residents with their personal needs, questions or goals, ensuring that the facility's policies are followed and working within the team and independently to complete all shift tasks and expectations. The Residential Support Services Lead also assists in training staff and is the liaison for management in the absence of direct leadership or supervision.

Minimum requirements: High School (GED) plus 1 year's relevant experience. The candidate must have basic computer skills. Some supervision experience helpful, associate degree in social services or related field desired. Must be willing and able to pass background and drug testing.

Administrative Assistant – Part-Time

Must be knowledgeable with QuickBooks and MS Office Suite and other computer programs.  Ability to navigate most business software programs.  Answers all incoming phone calls for the agency and directs all calls to the proper employee or department. 

Assists CEO and VP of Finance and VP of Human Resources with projects and other tasks as directed by the leadership team.  Maintain the donor and other volunteer tracking rosters.  Welcomes and initiates new projects and duties from other departments especially when directed (i.e. food and clothing drives and other philanthropic initiatives). 

Must have compassion for the homeless and others with mental health and/or substance misuse and other issues.
